Wendy Perry is a cosmetologist located in Durham NC specializing in African American (black) hairstyles. Wendy is known for her artistic ability to make you beautiful and feel good and come back for more.Wendy’s career started years ago with just loving to do haircuts,but evolved to much more she graduated from Allure Beauty College in Tucson Arizona with ongoing education with Dudley Beauty College in N.C,her studies include ABS Academy,Arizona Beauty College,Tucson College of beauty,Hair Rules salon management platform artistry,makeup artistry Paul Mitchell, advance hair cutting and colour and hair show and seminars all over the United States.
Wendy understanding that continued education keeps you at the top of your game and your career.In her studies and traveling her paths has been crossed with many professional educator whom has taken her under there wings and mentored her,remembering one of them sharing with her to get as much training and education that she could afford,and each one teach one,and always be willing to share your knowledge.Wendy with that always at the forefront of her mind did just that opening her own salon Posse’s Styling Emporium in 1989,she continues to teach,mentor and share her knowledge with young stylist in the business encouraging them to get the education training,go to seminars and invest in themselves.It not only makes you a better stylist also a better person.
Wendy has accrued in the industry of cosmetology over 25 years her accomplishments has been exhibit in many ways,teaching in some of Arizona’s Beauty Schools,serving on the advisory board as a member of Empess Beauty School,judging there shows and competitions and mentoring new stylist and hiring them upon completion of hours in here salon.
She continued to educate and travel the world for training at classes and siminars.Wendy was asked to help but Arizona on the map by showcasing her talents and skill with other stylist at a photo shoot with photographer Chip Foust for Sophisticate Black Hair Magazine ,her and her model were invited to the 2005 Chip Foust Invitational Photo Shoot in Miami FL,where Wendy was was presented a award for Style of the Year her model was published 14 time in 2004,what a great honor,that excited her to go on,being in several more shoots Wendy has also been published in Hype Hair,Hot Hair ,Universal Salon ,Essence Magazine. The Black Chambers of Arizona nominated her Business Woman of the Year 2011.Wendy has achieved more than can be listed in her community.
Now resides in Durham North Carolina to start a new chapter in her life,now travel to New York to train with Dickeyvof Hair Rules,while still teaching and mentoring at her husband family owned Beauty Schools ‘Regina,s College of Beauty located in N.C and Georgia’while working at Young Sassy & Unigue
