Salon: Young Sassy & Unique
Stylist: Kenya Young
Make Up: Deirdre Clay
Young Sassy and Unique hair Salon introduces a new hairdo from Kenya Young. It is a very striking hairstyle indeed, with the hair worn long, and twined around many times. When viewed from the back, the auburn highlights are accentuated by the brunette long tresses underneath.
Here is the way it is done.
The first thing that we do is to use a blow-dry crème to prepare the hair. Next, we blow-dry the hair with a comb attachment so that it will be straight. Using a flat iron, we then smooth the hair gently, starting at the nape of the neck, and bend the ends lightly. We backcomb the hair lightly, starting at the neck and working our way up to the occipital bone — the trapezoidal bone that forms the rear and lower section of the skull. After styling the hair according to the desire of the customer, we use our special shine-enhancing spray, which makes the hair look bright and shiny without adding on too much extra weight.
This style was created by Kenya Young from Young Sassy & Unique Hair Salon in Durham, NC. Phone number (919) 444-9089. I personally think that it fits in perfectly with her overall appearance and hair color — she has dark skin and naturally dark red hair. Throughout most of her life, she has had a passion for the hair industry, and has experience with customers of all hair textures and lengths. During the past three years, she attended the National Education Symposium in order to learn more about black hairstyles in particular. She has created a number of short and long hairstyles, all of which can be viewed on the website of Universal Studios (along with those of many other prominent stylists), and she has also opened up a shop of her own.
