UniversalSalons.Com Get 38 Hairstyles Published in 3 National Publications

Universalsalons.com is honored to have 38 models featured in the newest issues of the largest black hair magazines in the United States today. With 9 black hairstyles in the February 2015 issue of Sophisticates Black Hair Styles and Care guide, 6 hairstyles in the January February 2015 Hype Hair Magazine, and a whopping 23 black hairstyles in the new March April 2015 issue of Sophisticates Black Hair Styles and Care Guide, we at universalsalons.com are continuing to cement our reputation as one of the greatest marketing tools for the hair salon and cosmetology industry.

Savvy salon owners have known for years that getting your work published in national magazines is one of the greatest marketing tools available to the cosmetology industry. Each of the magazines featured in this article have a viewership in the hundreds of thousands and the size of this reach can generate dozens of new customers for each cosmetologist featured. Having your hair styles published in national publications afford cosmetologist the ability to work smarter and not harder, by giving them a larger clientele base and greater name recognition.

International hair photographer Chip Foust has been shooting black hairstyles for the publishing industry for over 20 years. “There is really no other marketing tool that can compare to getting your work published nationally” Foust says. You can increase the public’s awareness of your brand over 10 fold. “This is important because the more people who know of you and respect your work, the greater choices you have a client selection” Foust continues. For instance, if you wanted to focus on hair cutting and you wanted hair cutting to be the field that you specialized in, in order for you to do this you would need a clientele base strong enough to support your business, yet specialized enough to focus mainly on hair cutting. Getting published nationally takes care of both of these for you. When each magazine is seen by up to a million people a month, a larger base of potential customers who like what you do already, are drawn to you. In other words, you don’t have to be a jack of all trades. You can focus on those areas that give you the greatest pleasure and use national publications to entice a clientele base that appreciates those same areas to become customers.

Also, when a customer comes to you because of the quality of your work, they are not as concerned about price. As Chip Foust always says, “No one deals with the second best as long as the best is available”. This simply means that the customer will always gravitate to the product or service that they feel is superior over the other. Now, let me ask you which is better McDonalds or Burger King? The answer really depends on the customer. Some will say McDonalds others will say Burger King. Getting your work published nationally gives you the ability to showcase your talents to the world and then let those users that consider you to be the best at what you do patronize your product or service. Getting your work published has other benefits as well. Let’s say that you spend most of your day as a cosmetologist doing a set of particular services. You love the services, your clients love receiving these services and you are able to earn a healthy living and generate a substantial income based on those services. Now let’s say you acquire new services outside of the ones you already use in your daily routine. Getting your work published nationally introduces those new services to your existing clientele as well as a potential base of new ones.

We at UniversalSalons.com are honored to showcase these talented hair salons and cosmetologists featured in the magazines below.
