Ms. Pettiway should know, both of her parents are stylists and she grew up with all aspects of black hairstyles as dinner table conversation. She has evolved into a platform artist and teaches several classes annually emphasizing the proper products and procedures to keep hair vibrant and healthy./

Being a people person, she likes meeting and interacting with a variety of people, being her own boss and controlling her environment and work schedule. She laughingly adds, " of course if you don't work you don't get paid." /
