Deirdre (Dee) Clay is a professional Cosmetologist, and instructor with 23 years of experience in the field of cosmetology and 10 as an instructor. As a practicing stylist and makeup artist, Dee's work has been featured in a number of Dudley Products DVD productions as well as publications such as Salon Sense, Universal Salons Hair Styles, Sophisticate"s Black Hair Styles, Dudley's Hair Images Volume 10, Hot Hair, Black Hair-Styles and Trends, Hype Hair, and Black HairCare. In November of 2006 she was chosen to represent African-American colorist throughout the United States in a special multicultural color edition of the trade magazine Modern Salon called "Process". Along with her many accomplish Dee is also the owner for the last 12 years of a successful salon in Fayetteville, NC by the name of Wave Links Hair Studio.
Believing that education is the key to advancement in her profession, Dee was recognized by the North Carolina State Beauticians and Cosmetologist Association as the "Top Educator of North Carolina," in 2001. As a proponent for continued education in the field of cosmetology, Dee continues to accelerated her skill level by taking advance classes in haircutting, hair additions, coloring, styling, makeup artistury, and business management.
Known as the a color specialists, Dee has been a Dudley Products International Educator since 1993, and is one of the developers of the Master Cutting Program taught at Dudley Cosmetology University. During this time she has been instrumental in providing opportunities of advance education to many cosmetologist throughout the United States and in other countries such as the Bahamas, Martinique, Guadalupe, Japan, Guam, Korea, and on the Hawaii Islands. Dee also currently is working with Universal Salons Hair Styling book as one of their Makeup Artist.

Believing that "Each one must reach and teach one " Dee maintains a level of professionalism that she hopes will be an example for upcoming and current cosmetologist. |
