5 of the top black hair salons in the Fayetteville North Carolina area participated in one of our Universalsalons.Com Hairstylist Photo Shoots and the results of their talent and artistic eye are showcased here. Whether you’re into the short and sleek look of Melissa Green’s Cinnamon Roll Short Hairstyle and Hair Color or the long, flowing locks used in Marcus Doss’ Beautiful Long Body Wave, these trendsetting hairstyles are the place to start if you’re interested in updating your style for 2015.

 

The participating hair salons are some of the most published nationally from the Fayetteville area. All of these cosmetologists are regularly seen in national publications like Hype Hair, Sophisticates Black Hair Styles and Care Guide, and Inspire Hair Books. Before we go any further, we want to congratulate all of these talented hairstylist and models on a job well done.

The first look we will showcase is a black hairstyle from Deirdre Clay of Wave Links Hair Studio located at 5114 Yadkin Rd. Suite #136 Fayetteville, NC 28303. “Dee”, as she is known in the industry is not only a talented hairstylist; she has also served as a national educator for multiple product companies like Influance and Dudley Products over the years. Dee is also an accomplished makeup artist that regularly travels around the country with the UniversalSalons.Com production team.

These next two hairstyles are from one of the newest hair salons on our website, Studio 102 Hair Salon located at 8134 Cliffdale Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28314. Melissa Green and Mz. Z created these black hairstyles that are trendy, yet timeless. As you can see from these hairstyles, the talented team at Studio 102 can take your hair wherever you want to go, from short and sassy to long and flowing.

Melissa Green’s Cinnamon Roll Short Hairstyle and Hair Color

Melissa’s hairstyle is an elegant short hairstyle that is tapered around the sides and in the back using a shear over comb razor technique.. Cinnamon hi-lites and hair extensions were added and then the top was curled using Marcel irons to create a spiral technique. Mz. Z’s Complex Simplicity Black Hairstyle Using Extensions

The next hairstyle coming out of Studio 102 Hair Salon LLC is a long flowing hairstyle with loose curls created with hair extensions. Mz. Z is known for creating signature celebrity hairstyles for the professional lady. This look was created using a net cap to allow more flexibility in placing the tracks. The next hairstylist to present their trendsetting new look is Mr. Marcus Doss from Marcus Doss Salon located at 350 North Eastern Boulevard, Fayetteville, North Carolina. Marcus is an award winning cosmetologist and accomplished platform artist. He produces many exciting hair shows throughout the Fayetteville area every year.  Marcus also has a line of instructional videos that he has produced.

Beautiful Long Body Wave from Marcus Doss

Marcus created this look starting with a good shampoo and conditioner, then flat iron and bevel curled the hair using base curls. Hair pins were used to lock in heat and holding spray was applied to lock in the curls. Once the pins were removed, the hair was allowed to fall freely creating the cascade wave. The next hairstylist to showcase their hairstyles is Yvette Denise Perry-Bullock from Styles by Pinky Salon & Hair Gallery located at 5329 Yadkin Rd.Suite B Fayetteville, North Carolina. Yvette’s work has graced the pages of national publications on many occasions. She is an expert at all kind of hair care, from teens, to professionals, to elegant up dos. Yvette’s specialty is in black hairstyles though.

Black Hairstyle with Long Cascading Waves and Extensions by Pinky

This models natural hair is shoulder length and she is sporting hair extensions for fullness. The models hair was put up using a two strand twist technique and put under the dryer for 20 minutes. Then a corn rowed base was created to apply the extensions. The hair extensions were applied using Indique Hair and a sew weave in technique. Classy, Sexy and Curly Black Hairstyle from Clarese Andrews

This hairstyle is an example of a deep wave, twist out quick weave. Underneath this hairstyle, Clarese has dreadlocks that were cornrowed into place with a stocking cap placed on top to hold the cornrow in place.
