The Worse thing that I went through with my hair, of the many things, happened to be the defining moment in my life where I decided to learn how to do my own hair. Back in 1999 we went on a family vacation to Florida and we decided that we should take a picture of all of the grandkids and great grandkids as a gift to my Japanese Grandmommy before she returned to Tokyo. Now from my experience I have learned that major hair decisions should not be made at the last minute and definitely there should also be caution in chosing a stylist and this just happens to be my personal as well as professional opinion Well anyways, getting back to the story, the stylist who gave me a "trim" cut my hair that once fell halfway down my back up to my ears. And to top it off, she told me that the assymetrical look was "in", when I questioned her about the left side being longer than the right. I really wasn't ready for a bob but I got one. As for the photo, a picture says a thousand words!
Communication between the stylist and the client is so important. I really believe that I need to understand my clients wishes and desires and it's ok to take the time to get it right. They have to live with the hair we keep on not cut off and as stylists its our job to make that happen for them.
