This style is breathtaking from any angle. It is a style exclusively for short hair and involves detailed clipper work, foil or chemical layering, and detailed piecing color application. The layers are cut taking into consideration the direction of hair growth in the varying areas. The fullest area of color is done first and then the “detailing” colors are are added after the cut and layering to strategically bring out prominent facial features. When the cap cut is finished the sides are “buzzed” using clippers, leaving enough hair to meld on the sides. The back portion can be finger-waved, crimped, etc, so long as this section gives the style lift. Denise Cummings created this look. She is located at Signature Styles By Denise in Mt. Pleasant, SC.
